The carolina squat is better for small car drivers because instead of having the lights blind us in our mirrors, they just go up over.

My truck's so badass it lifts the front end sitting still!!!!!!!!

I move that this be called South Carolina Squat, because literally no one in North Carolina does this.

I'd like to know how this trend got started.
![]() 05/09/2014 at 15:14 |

But worse when the truck mounts said little car at a stop light, like an animal on the discovery channel... because the driver can't see anything closer than 70 yards, or shorter than 17 feet tall, because the hood is stuck up in the air, and the driver is reclined by the angle of the truck, not just the seat.

KnowsAboutCars doesn't know about trucks!
Kidding, I have no ****ing clue. Where did almost any car trend come from? Where the hell did hellaflush come from?

As someone not from the US, why are they lower in the back and higher in the front?
Looks pretty interesting, is this scene big in the US?
![]() 05/09/2014 at 15:16 |

True it is not beneficial from a seeing the road point of view.

Jenkem is behind it. It has to be.
![]() 05/09/2014 at 15:17 |

its because some people below the mason dixon line are ****ing retarded.
Is this a popular trend? I have no idea. It certainly isn't where I am in the US. Its a dixie thing I guess. Its pretty much the same as "bulldoggin" or the "california lean"

Also referred to as, "I took out the motor and put it in the bed."

This is not how you spell 'Brain Damage'.

Tire stretch and negative camber actually comes from the Japanese drifting crowd. By stretching tires they achieved stiffer sidewalls and they use negative camber on front to increase grip in full lock.

this is fucking genius
![]() 05/09/2014 at 15:33 |

So here's my question. Is the rear on bags?

In that before in after picture: How to ruin the functionality and purpose of a truck. From day one to "Now."

"Ya know..visibility over the hood of my massive truck is pretty bad but i can still barely see the car in front of me. I wonder if I could make it worse while simultaneously ruining the ride, handling, and payload of my truck"
Insert hick accent and thus Carolina Squat was born.
![]() 05/09/2014 at 16:03 |

maybe its because people don't realize the trucks that actually use that rear squat are not what these Bro's are using their trucks for.
Exhibit A: Super Stadium trucks
Exhibit B: Trophy trucks
Xzibit C:
You get the picture.

Who the heck thought about that and said "yes, I'd like to get high off that"? On second thought don't tell me.

Someone said on another thread a while ago it originated in Hawaii and California. Except there it wasn't just lowering the back. They would raise the front and widen the stance, causing the center of gravity to lower and the weight distributed more to the back. That makes sand driving much easier.
